Archival research
Archival research helps you find answers to questions concerning your ancestors, family, farm, or a broader historical topic.
As a result of the research, you will receive well-founded answers to your questions, together with a coherent and readable text compiled on their basis, in which information from different sources is brought together.
During the process, material is sought from a range of archival sources and connected into a whole, resulting in a clear and structured overview of your research topic.
This also includes the reading and interpretation of handwritten texts, ensuring that even more difficult material becomes understandable and usable for you.
An important part of the work is the critical evaluation of sources, through which reliable information is distinguished from incidental or misleading findings.
Unlike a standard archival notice, the result does not consist of isolated facts, but develops into a readable and meaningful text that can be used, for example, in compiling a family history or for further research.
The research is carried out by Mariann Rammo, whose work is based on the analysis of archival sources and the preparation of a reliable and accessible account based on them.
